I went to the Columbus Pet Expo this year and met a lot of great vendors, both local and national. One of my favorite booths was the High Hopes for Pets booth. High Hopes for Pets is a company that focuses on creating fabulous treats for your furry friends and giving back to various organizations across the country.

My girls were given the chance to try High Hopes’ Mity Meaty Bites in the Beef flavor, and their Peanut Butter, Bacon and Cheddar treats. Their verdict: YUM!

Peanut Butter, Bacon, and Cheddar Treats - High Hopes

I opened the peanut butter treats first, and my girls could not get enough! They would gobble up a treat and then patiently sit and stare at me, just begging for more. I really liked that these treats were grain free and full of the goodies that most dogs love. I especially liked that there weren’t any hidden flavors. A few weeks ago, I discovered that Bella has an allergy to chicken. Chicken is actually a very common food allergy for dogs, but even though we would feed her salmon, or lamb based foods, chicken was still hiding in the ingredient lists. These treats are just what my girls need on their treat shelf! (Actually, it’s a lazy Susan full of treats, but who’s judging?!)

When I opened the Mity Meaty Bites, I knew my girls would love them. There reaction to the peanut butter treats was the perfect indication on how they would feel about the Bites. These treats fit perfectly in their little “potty time” treat jar, and are small enough that I don’t worry about giving them “too much”. Since we give them a treat every time they go to the bathroom outside, these treats are quick, easy, small, and delicious: perfect for a potty time reward!

High Hopes also offers other treats for your pups. The next on my list to try is their line of cupcakes. Their cupcake kits come complete with everything you need, even the frosting! They also plan to come out with a line of cookies for cats soon.

The greatest thing about this company is the money they give back to organizations across the company. Since September 2011, they have given grants to 37 different groups, all focused on the care and welfare of homeless pets. Every single treat sale gives money back to homeless pets. Having two rescues of my own, it really breaks my heart that so many cats and dogs don’t have homes to call their own.
