It’s July, and it’s about time that I review our monthly Pet Gift Box! This month’s theme was Backyard BBQ, and let me just say, the contents were perfect for the theme! Since May’s box was focused on Memorial Day, it would’ve been super easy for Pet Gift Box to take the Fourth of July route, but they didn’t and I’m impressed.
First, I absolutely LOVED the picnic blanket themed wrapping. I think opening all packages should be an experience from start to finish. That’s why I jazz up the wrappings on gifts whenever I can.
When I finally opened the box, I started laughing from the cuteness! Everything was just perfect for the theme.
The first toy was the Burger Buddy toy. This was by far my favorite toy for the girls. It’s a plush toy and it has lasted, making it a definite win for us. I really love that it looks like a photograph of a burger.
Retail: $6.99
The next toy was the Sausage Rope Toy. This was Bella’s favorite. I wasn’t a big fan of the sausage links on the rope simply because Dolly ripped through them immediately, but the rope itself was perfect. We go through a LOT of ropes in our house.
Retail: $5.99
The final toy was the Hot Off the Grill Chicken Leg. This too was a funny toy, but I wasn’t a big fan of the plastic. I have two sets of monster jaws in my house. However, given that the rope toy and the chicken leg are both under $6.00 each, I wouldn’t expect that they are indestructible. This is a fair trade for me!
Retail: $4.99
The first treats in the box were the Grill-icious Chicken Treats. Unfortunately, we JUST found out that Bella is allergic to chicken, but that’s okay! We have had plenty of treats from Loving Pets (the company who makes the treats) and I can assure you that my girls gobble up all of their treat varieties in no time! While we will be giving these treats to a family member who can tolerate chicken, I promise that this didn’t make or break my love of this month’s box.
Retail: $5.99
The next bag of treats was Nathan’s Famous Treats. These treats are GONE at our house. They were basically inhaled, and if they weren’t treats for my girls, I probably would’ve eaten one. They smelled delicious, and Dolly actively looked for the bag at treat time. We have a lazy Susan full of dog treats. Don’t judge.
Retail: $7.00
The final treat in the box, actually came in the form of three separate, but related, treats: Canine Condiments. I laughed as soon as I saw these. Petchup, Muttstard, and Bark-B-Q? Genius marketing right there! These treats are actually liquids that you can pour on your pooch’s dinner for a special treat whenever you feel like it. They are actually flavored like Pork, Salmon, and Beef, so your pup is sure to love them!
Retail: $8.97
