Reinvent the wheel? Ain’t nobody got time for that ;)

As a busy mom, I don’t have time to reinvent the wheel day in and day out. And let’s be honest, whether you’re a working mom, a SAHM, or a mom who works from home {with children in the home 🙋} or even a dad in any of those categories, 24 hours is just not enough hours in the day. Am I right?! That’s why I seriously try to keep meals as simple as possible and help myself out where I can by being prepared for the week ahead.
I have 2-3 different things that we all eat for breakfast, so I’ve always got that meal under control. The rest of it, pshhh. I have to be thinking days ahead to make the most of my time.
So, while making the big salad we had for dinner last night, I went ahead and cut up extra lettuce and veggies and I also went ahead and grilled a bunch of chicken for the week, while I was grilling the steaks, so I wouldn’t have to man the grill again tonight. Then, I basically put together my lunch for today, while making last night’s dinner, so I wouldn’t have to do it during the hustle and bustle of picking kids up from camp and getting their lunches made and cleaned up. So, breakfast ? lunch ?
Then there’s dinner. I used the chicken I grilled from last night and tossed it in the oven (with a little Swiss cheese) to warm it up and threw a bunch of veggies in the crockpot on low for the day. I basically didn’t have to make dinner tonight 👊
