I love talking about dogs all the time, but I can’t forget the cat lovers out there! Last week I talked about Zuke’s dog treats, so it’s only fair that I talk about their excellent cat treats.

Zuke’s, a company based out of Colorado, specializes in delicious treats for your pets. While Zuke’s began with a focus on dogs, today they have a variety of treat options for both cats and dogs. Recently I had the opportunity to try out the Purrz treats with my family’s cat, Keiki. We tried all three flavors (salmon, chicken, and tuna) with her and she loved them!

The number one thing that I like about the treats is how healthy they are for cats. As I mentioned in my Zuke’s dog treat post, I am all about the “no corn, no soy, no wheat” diet for my dogs, and the same goes for Keiki! She has a lot of allergies, and eats a very specific food all the time. She has a tendency to scratch herself silly, and giving her treats, that won’t make her itchy is the most important thing for us. I wanted to share pictures of her with her treats on here, but she recently had surgery on her eyes and isn’t feeling her best, so you will just have to trust me when I say that she loved them!

I also really liked the strong smell of the treats. It was strong, but not overwhelming or gross, and really grabbed Keiki’s attention. She really enjoys things that have strong and unique smells, so she especially loved these treats!

The shape of the treats were so unique! They are shaped like Zs, for Zuke’s, and made the experience fun for her. Cats like treats and food with edges and angles, because they help them stay entertained. Keiki would play with the treats a little before eating them, and would bat them around on the floor.
